Orvis PRO LT Hunting Pants

Orvis Pro LT pants

Early season upland hunting can be rewarding and memorable, providing the opportunity for close dog work, high bird counts, and some beautiful scenery. But, in most cases, it also means hunting in warmer temperatures.

Orvis has created a new line, the PRO LT, composed of lightweight, durable, and brush-resistant gear for those dogs days of upland hunting.

As I prepared to head out to North Dakota for some early season Sharptail, I decided to give a pair of the PRO LT hunting pants a try.

Most technical upland pants I’ve worn in the past still ended up sticking to me after a few minutes of marching through tall grass, but the breathable Cordura® material of the PRO LT pants wicked moisture away like a champ.

The pants did everything they claimed to: shed early morning dew, stretched so I could maneuver over fences with ease, and to my delight, still functioned well in cooler months with the addition of a base layer.

The PRO LT pants come with lots of other field-tested features and are available in several color options and sizes to fit just about every upland hunter out there. Leave a little less sweat on the prairie next year by adding a pair to your gear bag.

Available in both men’s and women’s sizing — $150.
